HOW OUR SUMMER LEAGUE OPERATES

  • Minimum age to play: Men 54, women 45 by December 31 of the current year.
  • We have 2 divisions:
    • Division 1 - The suggested ages for this division are 66 and above. In the past, teams were reconfigured each year in a cooperative effort by the coaches to create parity between teams. For the 2025 season players will remain on their previous team unless they choose to re-enter either the D1 or D2 draft of new players . If you opt into the D2 draft but you are not drafted, then you will be assigned to the D1 new player draft. D1 has a double-elimination tournament at the end of the season to determine that season's champion.
    • DIVISION 2 - Suggested ages under 66. Players remain on the same team from year to year (though may request to re-enter the draft in subsequent years). Players new to the league are chosen by draft. Teams are built with the hope and intention of maximizing winning, including the division championship.
  • Players younger than 66 may opt to play in D1, if they prefer.
  • New players older than 66 may try out for D2. If not selected for a D2 team they will be placed into the D1 new player draft.
  • Players who are looking to play more can also become Pool Players. This is a list of players who can be called by a coach to fill-in when a full team cannot be fielded for a particular game (due to vacations, sickness, injuries, etc... of the regular team members).
  • Members who are not ready or able to commit to play for a team may opt to be Pool-Player-Only members.
  • The summer league schedule runs from May through September (including playoffs).
  • There are weekly BP sessions on Friday and Sunday mornings during the season. These continue into the fall.
FALL BALL

A Fall Ball season was added in 2021. It starts in early-to-mid September and runs into early November.

  • D1 Fall Ball consists of a weekly pickup game for D1 players.
    • Players must sign up ahead of time to reserve a slot for each week they want to play.
    • There is no cost
  • D2 Fall Ball is made up of 4 or so teams (depending on the number of registrants) with players from both D1 and D2.
    • Teams are optimized for parity
    • Summer members play on teams made up of members from other summer teams and divisions
    • New players are welcome
    • An 8-10 game schedule is played followed by a 2 game playoff
    • Payment of a registration fee is required
    • Pool-Player-Only registrations are accepted at a reduced fee
